Why didnt anything happen last night?

i took a trip with friends for the week to visit a friend at college in the midwest. we got in yesterday and went out to dinner with her roommate. later, we went out to the bars, where she sat next to me and we started talking. eventually we got to playfully holding hands and flirting. because i was supposed to sleep in the house on a couch in the front landing, she offered me her couch in her room because the front landing is very cold at night. once we were all back i brought my stuff to her room and when she closed her door, we were standing in the room and I went in to kiss her which she was receptive to. when we stopped, she said to me "youre sleeping there (the couch) tonight" obviously a reference to not sleeping in her bed (she has a queen). i understood this because it was 2am and she had to be in to work in the campus labs at 9. when i asked her if there is a chance i could sleep there in the coming nights, she said "maybe." before we turned the light out, she said she has an irritating alarm that might wake me up and something about jumping on her to wake her up because she is a heavy sleeper. so this morning that alarm sounded and she didnt turn it off so i got up to do it and when i was next to her bed she pulled me onto the bed and we proceeded to cuddle until she had to get out of bed. i kissed her again to see if anything more might happen but she seemed not to want to do anything of the heavy petting nature. we are staying for 3 more nights and i ume ill at least be able to stay in her room on the couch because of the other couch being in a cold room. theres not really any chance we could date because we live and go to college 10 hours away. at the bars last night i made sure not to get sloshed because she was not drinkin a lot because she had to get up early today. how should i proceed in the next few days?
