Does anyone use a bottle warmer? or is it a waste of money?

I am debating on buying a bottle warmer or just put the bottle of formula in a bowl of hot water before feedings. How long would it take the bottle to warm in the bowl of hot water? It's not like I have to go far to get to my kitchen at nights or anything. If you do use a bottle warmer which is your favorite?
