39weeks and lost my plug mucus. How can i help the contractios come faster?

Ok so I had a doc app on friday and my doc tld me that I was 3 cm dilated and tht she cld even feel my sons head and tht my water bag was urging to pop lol.shed adviced me to have , tht it wld help buuutt I don't think I want to do all that. My due date is march 14th she gave me an app for march 13th and told me tht she didn't expect to see me lol so the day after (saturday) I went 2 the bathroom and when I was whipping I noticed some mucus came out along with some blood. So I just tld my self tht I wld wait for my contractions to kick in and I felt nothing =( no water breakage and no contraction. Yesterday same thing happend I went to whipe and a bigger mucus with more blood came out. I went to the hospital and they told me tht my body was having contractions but I just cldnt feel them... is there anything I can do to speed up the process... doctors keep telling me I can pop any day now... I'm tired of waiting and I jz want to hold my baby lol any advice?
