Any ideas for a poem?

I need to write a ballad for a school project. It has to be about 5 min. long and have some historical content. In the past, I have had great success with Greek mythology or similar topics (I've done Theseus and the Minotaur, Achilles and Hector, King Arthur, The Battle of Thermopylae, and Robin Hood). Anny suggestions?
